Bayern Munich have one of the best groups of attacking players in Europe. The Bavarian club scored a staggering 122 goals in the Bundesliga last season. Harry Kane has been the chief goalscorer for Bayern, but Michael Olise has been attracting interest from several clubs across Europe.
The French forward has taken his game to the next level after enjoying a very productive debut season in Munich. Olise has improved his output in the final third, scoring 22 goals. His productivity in front of the goal has not hampered his creativity, as he ended the season with a staggering 25 assists across all competitions.
It was heavily reported in Spanish and English media that Real Madrid were going to test Bayern’s resolve with a bid worth €150 million for Olise. The bid didn’t arrive from the Spanish side as they made that lucrative offer to Atletico Madrid for Julian Alvarez.
Real Madrid admire Olise, but Bayern have no plans to part ways with the French forward. Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with Olise, but he will be playing football in Bavarian colours next season.
Bayern want to reward Olise’s great form last season with a new contract. According to L’Equipe (via iMiaSanMia), Die Roten are targeting a new deal for Olise by autumn.  The French winger could see his salary doubled and become one of the highest-paid players in Bayern’s squad.
Olise certainly deserves a new deal, considering how consistent he has been for Bayern since arriving from Crystal Palace in 2024. The Bundesliga champions did exceptionally well to beat the competition from several Premier League clubs to clinch his signing.
Olise set to make big impact at the World Cup
After finishing the club campaign with a domestic double, Olise is all set to make a big impact in the World Cup. The 24-year-old scored his first hattrick for France against Northern Ireland in the friendly game before the start of the tournament.
Olise will have a big role to play in France’s hopes of regaining the trophy. Considering his incredible form over the last two years, it wouldn’t be a big surprise if he ends up being the best player at the World Cup.
France are favourites to win the tournament, as they have an incredible attack and a very solid midfield and defence. Olise will certainly be the main man in the attack for the 2018 Champons.
