Bayern Munich are set to complete a crucial bit of transfer business in the next few days. The Bundesliga champions have already agreed a fee with PSV Eindhoven for Ismael Saibari. The Moroccan forward is expected to complete the medical in the USA and sign a five-year contract with Bayern.

After signing Saibari, Bayern are also hoping to clinch a deal for Nathaniel Brown. The German full-back has agreed personal terms with Die Roten. The Bavarian club is in advanced talks with Eintracht Frankfurt for a transfer fee. It looks like a matter of when, not if, Brown becomes a Bayern player.

Brown has been one of the best full-backs in the Bundesliga last season. His incredible quality was on display for Germany during the 7-1 win against Curacao. Bayern have managed to beat competition from Arsenal to sign Brown.

The signing of Brown has certainly raised concerns over the future of Alphonso Davies. Brown can play in multiple positions, but his best performances have come in the left-back position. He is expected to play a significant number of games next season if Bayern are ready to fork out a fee in excess of €50 million.

According to Sky Sports in Germany (via iMiaSanMia), Bayern will not actively look to part ways with Davies in the summer. However, he is no longer an unsellable player in the squad. Serious offers could be considered by the Bavarian club.

Injuries have stalled Davies’ progress under Vincent Kompany

Davies was excelling under Vincent Kompany in the 2024/25 campaign. However, a serious knee injury in April halted his progress under the Belgian coach. He spent more than six months on the sidelines. After recovering from a knee injury, Davies has struggled with other minor injuries, which have kept him from getting back into rhythm.

The Canadian signed a new long-term deal 15 months ago, making him one of the best-paid players in Bayern's current squad. His wages will become a significant obstacle for any club interested. Moreover, Die Roten will also demand a sizeable fee for the Canadian full-back. At this stage, it will take a significant turn of events for Davies to leave Munich this summer.

Davies still has a role to play at Bayern despite the signing of Brown. With Bayern aiming to go all the way in all competitions next season, there will be a lot of rotation. Davies will compete with Brown for the left-back spot. Both players may play together due to their ability to play higher up the pitch.
