Bayern Munich Lineup Preview: Predicted XI to face Augsburg
Midfield
CM, Joshua Kimmich- With other midfielders getting injured over the last few weeks, there is no possibility of rest for Joshua Kimmich ahead of a crucial set of fixtures. After excelling for Germany in the right-back position during the international break, Kimmich will be back in central midfield when Bayern hosts Augsburg on Friday.
CM, Leon Goretzka- After João Palhinha was ruled out until the winter break this week, there is an opening for Leon Goretzka to get consistent playing time for Bayern. The German midfielder started against St. Pauli. He is expected to partner Kimmich in the center of the park on Friday. Goretzka will likely operate in a slightly defensive role, allowing Kimmich to play in his natural central midfield role.
AM, Jamal Musiala- Good run of form for Jamal Musiala continued during the international break. He was on the scoresheet against Bosnia and Herzegovina (another finish with his head). Musiala has been a game-changer for Die Roten in the past few games. He will deservedly keep his spot in the starting XI, playing in the number ten role against Augsburg.
