GK, Manuel Neuer- Neuer had to stop training on Wednesday due to a precautionary reason, but he is expected to be fit for the clash against Augsburg.

RB, Raphaël Guerreiro- Sacha Boey is back in team training, but he is unlikely to start against Augsburg as Kompany and Bayern will look to ease him back due to his troubled injury record. Konrad Laimer played both games for Austria during the break. Since Guerreiro had a two-week break, Kompany is likely to start him in the right-back position.

CB, Dayot Upamecano- Kompany has made Upamecano his main man in defense. The Bavarian club is planning to open contract talks with the French defender since he is one of the first names on the team sheet under Kompany. He is expected to start against Augsburg on Friday.

CB, Kim Min-jae-The South Korean has improved steadily over the past few weeks. He remains Kompany’s first-choice partner for Upamecano and will deservedly start against Augsburg.

LB, Alphonso Davies- The left-back position in the starting XI has been cemented by Alphonso Davies over the last couple of months. After two weeks of rest, Davies will look to continue his good run of form when he starts against Augsburg.
