Certain players continue to struggle for form and consistency
Bayern managed to get the job done in the second half. However, greater contributions from the likes of Nicolas Jackson and Sacha Boey, and even Luis Diaz, would have made the game less of an ordeal had they been able to take it up a notch against ten-man Monchengladbach.
Apart from the early chance, which he teed up for Diaz to somehow miss from close range, Jackson struggled to effectively link up with his teammates in attack and once again failed to register a shot.
Boey meanwhile, despite not being asked to defend much, failed to impact the game incisively going forward. His performance was in stark contrast to that of Guerreiro who replaced him for the second half.
