Win against Bochum encapsulated Bayern's season until now

When a team at the top beats a team at the bottom, there is no reason to get carried away. Bayern were expected to win by a strong margin considering the form of both teams in the Bundesliga. Despite the scoreline, this game was a representation of Bayern’s season to date.

Bayern as a team is capable of dominating and overwhelming opponents when the attack is firing on all cylinders. However, it doesn’t take more than one simple pass to breach Bayern’s rearguard.

The biggest takeaway from this game is to not take away too much from the victory. The team and coaching staff should be aware of the improvement needed in key areas of the game plan. So far this season Bayern are yet to beat a top-tier opponent, whilst being vulnerable on the counter-attack regardless of the caliber of the opponent. There remains a genuine reason for concern.
