Bayern still have key weakness to address

As previously mentioned, despite the resounding scoreline, Bayern had their shaky moments out of possession. Those moments were all-too-typical of the season to date with the opposition playing long balls to catch them on the break.

Such a glaring example was evident as early as the eighth minute. With the score still 0-0, Bochum forward Moritz Broschinski was played clean through with a simple pass. He evaded Manuel Neuer who rushed out from his box, but fortunately for Bayern, Kim Min-jae showed great pace to clear the ball off the line to spare Neuer’s blushes. The outcome against Bochum may have been decidedly different had Kim been a tad slower.

Kompany and his assistants need to find a way that Bayern are less susceptible to direct counterattacks going forward. The opposition teams in the Bundesliga and Champions League have planned to make the most of Die Roten's weakness in the past few games.
