Bayern Munich chiefs believe that transfer business for the senior team is done for this summer. They are focusing on departures at the senior level. However, incomings at the reserves or youth team level cannot be ruled out as Bayern continue to chase top young talents across the globe.
According to French journalist Bertrand Queneutte, Bayern have shown interest in signing Montpellier’s 16-year-old attacking midfielder Soyan Ameur. The French midfielder has particularly grabbed the attention of big European clubs by delivering impressive performances at the International Dream Cup in Japan this summer.
It remains to be seen if Montpellier will be open to parting ways with the young attacking midfielder this summer. He will play at the U-18 or U-16 level for Bayern Munich if a move materialises in the final 10 days of the transfer window.
Queneutte has also reported that Premier League clubs have shown strong interest in Ameur. Die Roten will have to act more quickly and provide Ameur with a clear, progressive pathway to the first team to convince him to join them rather than Premier League clubs.
Bayern Munich extend contract of Cassiano Kiala
Die Roten managed to secure the future of one of their highly rated young players earlier this week. The Bavarian reached an agreement over a four-year contract with Cassiano Kiala.
Kiala joined Bayern in 2024 from Hertha BSC. He made his first team debut under Vincent Kompany last season against Heidenheim. The 17-year-old center-back has been training with the first team. The club chiefs believe that he will eventually play an important role for the first team.
The teenager’s season was cut short in February due to a severe ankle sprain. However, he has resumed training at Sabner Strasse. He will regularly train with the first team this season.
Vincent Kompany has handled young players brilliantly at Bayern, especially in his second season. Lennart Karl had a breakout season under the Belgian coach. Cassiano Kiala will get opportunities to play for the first team if he continues to work hard in training.
Giving regular game time to youngsters in the first team will make Bayern Munich an attractive destination for players like Soyan Ameur. The Bavarian club brilliantly handled the development of the likes of Aleksandar Pavlovic, Josip Stanisic, Lennart Karl, and Jamal Musiala over the last five years. All four players are now crucial members of the first team.
