As being reported by ESPN, Bayern Munich has emerged as a potential suitor for Manchester City striker Erling Haaland, with the German side viewing him as the perfect Harry Kane replacement, once the Englishman's time at the club ultimately comes to an end. Bayern is planning for at least another two years with Harry Kane, but has smartly already begun to assess their options for the future.

It goes without saying that Haaland is right up there with Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe as one of the top strikers in world football. His goal-scoring record speaks for itself, so it makes sense why Bayern would be interested in bringing in the Norwegian in the future. Bayern were interested in signing Haaland back during his days at Borussia Dortmund before he opted for a move to Manchester City, leading to Bayern landing Harry Kane.
Despite still being at the top of his game, at 33-years-old, Harry Kane isn't getting any younger, so it makes sense why the club is already planning so far in advance when it comes to their next superstar signing.
Haaland ticks every box to be the next great Bayern Munich striker, and from what we saw during his time at Dortmund, he's only gone and gotten better, and to partner him in an attack with players like Michael Olise, Jamal Musiala, and potentially Luis Diaz (if he's still at the club), would be one of the deadliest sights in all of world football.
When it comes to any potential move for Haaland, the trickiest obstacle is the transfer fee. Currently valued at around €220 million and still under contract at Manchester City until 2034, any club that would be interested in signing him would surely have to break Neymar's record transfer fee to land his signature. At the end of the day, anything can happen in the world of football, and who knows what the landscape will look like in two or three years' time, but one thing is for certain: many have always assumed Haaland would end up at Bayern at some point in his career, so the club showing interest in the player shouldn't come as a surprise at all.
