Bayern Munich got a glimpse of the future in the sticks this season as Jonas Urbig played several games in the absence of Manuel Neuer. The Bavarian club rates Urbig highly as they managed to beat competitors for his signature in January. Urbig is expected to get an adequate amount of playing time next season.
The arrival of Urbig has pushed Daniel Peretz further down the pecking order at Bayern. Peretz played a couple of games in the first half of the season when Neuer was rested. With Sven Ulreich and Urbig at the club next season, Peretz is expected to leave Bavaria in the summer.
The Israeli goalkeeper will have several options to consider as several clubs outside Germany queue up for his signature.
According to SportBild, PSV Eindhoven have already touched base with Bayern to explore a deal for Peretz. The Dutch champions will offer Peretz to play in the Champions League, giving them an edge in the race for the signing of Peretz.
Leeds United and Burnley from England are also showing interest in the Israeli goalkeeper. Both clubs have been promoted to the Premier League this season. Burnley will likely lose James Trafford this summer since Newcastle United are interested in the English goalkeeper. Peretz will likely get a considerable amount of game time if he chooses one of these two English clubs.
Apart from interest from the Netherlands and England, Genoa from Serie A is also interested in signing Peretz. The Israeli goalkeeper will make a decision on his future in the coming weeks.
Bayern may look for a permanent transfer for Peretz
Considering how well-stacked Bayern Munich are in the goalkeeping department, they are likely to listen to permanent offers for Daniel Peretz. Die Roten may insert a sell-on clause to safeguard themselves if Peretz ends up getting a big move in the future.
Peretz has done well for Bayern in limited opportunities and delivered good performances for the Israeli team. The Bavarian club should look to get a fee between 10-12 million for the 24-year-old goalkeeper.
The Bundesliga champions also have a decision to make regarding Alexander Nubel next summer. The German goalkeeper signed a contract until 2029 last summer and went on a two-year loan to VfB Stuttgart. Die Roten reportedly have the option to bring him back this summer, but they are not going to exercise it. As things stand, Bayern have plenty of options in the goalkeeping department from short-term and long-term perspectives.
