The final phase of the season has started in the best possible way for Bayern Munich. They came back from behind to beat Freiburg 3-2 in the first game. Bayern followed up this win with a 2-1 victory against Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu in the Champions League quarter-final. Die Roten ended the week strongly with a 5-0 win against St. Pauli.
Serge Gnabry has been one of the key performers for Bayern in this run of games. He missed the clash against St. Pauli due to a minor injury. However, things are looking positive regarding Gnabry’s participation in the second leg against Real Madrid.
The German international trained with the first team squad on Monday. Sven Ulreich and Lennart Karl were the only players missing from the training as they are recovering from different injuries. Both players will miss the Champions League game at Allianz Arena on Wednesday.

Gnabry has become a key man for Bayern
Gnabry was sensational at the Santiago Bernabeu. The German forward played a brilliant pass to set up Luis Diaz for the opening goal. His return will be a big boost for Die Roten as they look to book a place in the semi-final of the European competition.
The former Arsenal forward becoming an important player for Vincent Kompany was not on the bingo list of any Bayern fan this season. He looked like a shadow of himself in the last couple of seasons. However, Gnabry was determined to stay in Munich, going into the final year of his contract despite interest from other clubs in the summer.
Gnabry has 10 goals and 11 assists for Bayern across all competitions this season. The 30-year-old forward was rewarded with a contract extension in February. He will be staying in Munich at least until 2028. Along with his productivity in the final third, Gnabry’s intensity while pressing massively helps Bayern to dominate the opposition.
It remains to be seen if Gnabry will be fit enough to start the game on Wednesday. Jamal Musiala looked in good form against St. Pauli on Saturday, so Bayern and Kompany can consider starting him against Real Madrid, with Gnabry making an impact from the bench.
Harry Kane is also fit for the game against the Madrid-based club. The English forward had some problems after the first leg, which forced Vincent Kompany to rest him against St. Pauli. Kane got on the scoresheet in the first leg.
