Bayern Munich have been unbeaten this season until now. They suffered a minor setback when their winning run was halted away at Union Berlin before the international break. Harry Kane scored late in a 2-2 draw to rescue a point for Bayern. It was the first instance this season when Die Roten dropped points in the Bundesliga.
The Bavarian club got back to winning ways this weekend by clinching a 6-2 win against Freiburg at Allianz Arena. Die Roten had an appalling start as they were trailing 2-0 after 20 minutes. However, they managed to regroup and mount a comeback to seal an emphatic victory.
Bayern will potentially face their biggest challenge of the campaign on Wednesday when they travel to Emirates Stadium for the Champions League clash against Arsenal. The game against Paris Saint-Germain a few weeks ago was daunting, but Arsenal will be a bigger test for Die Roten due to the form of Arteta’s men.
The Bavarian club is hoping to get an injury boost for the clash against the Premier League leaders. Max Eberl told the media (via AZ) on Saturday that Serge Gnabry is expected to be fit for the game against Arsenal.
Gnabry sat out of the game against Freiburg due to a minor injury. The German winger has a terrific record against London-based clubs. Moreover, Gnabry has been in sublime form for Die Roten this season. It will be a massive boost for Vincent Kompany if Gnabry makes it to the matchday squad on Wednesday.
Joshua Kimmich also didn't feature against Freiburg due to a minor injury. The German midfielder has confirmed that he will be available for selection against Arsenal. Kimmich has a big role to play in the midfield against the North London side on Wednesday, which potentially explains Kompany’s decision to rest him against Freiburg.

Lennart Karl escapes injury issue against Freiburg
Lennart Karl has been a revelation for Bayern this season. The 17-year-old winger was in fine form for Die Roten against Freiburg on Saturday, grabbing a goal and an assist. Karl had to come off the pitch in the second half due to an injury, but it was just a minor knock.
Eberl has insisted that Karl's participation in the game against Arsenal is not in doubt as of now. The youngster will likely get minutes against the Premier League side since Luis Diaz will miss the game due to suspension.
