Midfield

DM, João Palhinha- 7/10

Palhinha got his third consecutive start in a week when he featured against Bochum. The Portuguese had a good hour on the pitch, winning a whopping 11 out of 14 duels. He also supported the attack from midfield, completing three passes in the final third and had one shot on target. The Portuguese midfielder needs to improve on the ball, as he completed only 82% of passes before getting replaced by Leon Goretzka at the hour mark.

CM, Joshua Kimmich- 8/10

Kimmich continued his fine run of form in the midfield. The German midfielder created four chances and completed a staggering 104 passes in the game. Kimmich also executed a clever free kick in the first half, which led to the assist for Bayern’s second goal.

AM, Jamal Musiala- 9/10

It was a blockbuster return to the starting XI for Musiala. The youngster doubled Die Roten’s lead with a clever header. He created three chances in the game, with one getting converted by Harry Kane. Musiala looked unplayable in the final third during his hour-long stay on the pitch as he completed four out of six dribbles.

CM, Leon Goretzka- 7/10 (Substitute)

Kompany called upon Goretzka at the hour mark to replace Palhinha. The German midfielder was tidy on the ball, completing 90% of his passes. He had two decent chances to score but couldn’t provide the finish.

AM, Thomas Muller- 7/10 (Substitute)

Muller had an eventful cameo in the second half after replacing Musiala at the hour mark. He created two chances and stretched Bochum’s backline with his clever runs.
