Defense

RB, Konrad Laimer- 6.5/10

Kompany brought Konrad Laimer back into the starting XI at the expense of Raphaël Guerreiro in the right-back position. The Austrian defended well but didn’t offer much threat while going forward.

CB, Dayot Upamecano- 7/10

After a testing night in Barcelona, Upamecano delivered an assured performance against Bochum. He kept things simple with the ball and won most of the battles against the forwards.

CB, Kim Min-jae- 7.5/10

The South Korean defender made a crucial challenge early in the game to stop Bochum from opening the scoring. Kim Min-jae also looked solid on the ball and was largely untroubled throughout his stay on the pitch.

LB, Alphonso Davies- 8/10

Davies was Bayern’s best defender on the pitch against Bochum. The Canadian was a constant threat in the final third as he created three chances for Bayern. He was eventually rewarded with an assist for Die Roten’s fifth goal. Davies won 75% of duels he contested and didn't Bochum much joy on his flank.

CB, Eric Dier- 7/10 (Substitute)

Came on for the final 12 minutes of the game as Kompany gave Min-jae much deserved breather. The English defender didn’t put a foot wrong and helped Bayern see out the game.
