Bayern Munich are closing on one of the key deals they had planned for this season. Harry Kane is close to signing a new contract with Bayern. The English forward has consistently insisted that he is content with life in Bavaria. Die Roten also had intentions to keep the 33-year-old for several years.

Kane is expected to sign the new deal in the coming days. The contract negotiations with Kane were straightforward for Bayern since he made it clear that staying in Munich is his priority.

After concluding talks with Kane, Bayern are expected to turn their attention towards offering a new contract to Michael Olise. The French forward has been one of the best wingers in the world since arriving from Crystal Palace in 2024.

Olise has started the new season on fire, scoring eight goals for Bayern in seven games. He was subject to concrete interest from Real Madrid in the summer. However, Die Roten were not keen on entertaining offers for him.

The French winger has three years left on his contract, but Die Roten are ready to step up efforts to secure his future. However, Bayern chiefs are showing no sense of panic regarding Olise’s future. While talking to Sky Sports in Germany this week (via Buli News), Christoph Freund, Bayern’s sporting director, insisted that there is no time pressure on the club regarding Olise’s new contract.

"He is under contract until 2029, so there is no pressure. He feels extremely comfortable at FC Bayern, and we are always in contact with him. As I said, there is no time pressure"
Christoph Freund

Bayern will have to be proactive with Olise's new contract

Freund’s comments make sense since there are three years left on Olise’s contract. However, Die Roten cannot afford to take significant time before opening talks with the French winger.

Olise has been exceptional in the last two seasons. Bayern managed to beat competition from several clubs for his signature. He has repaid Die Roten’s faith by delivering strong performances consistently. His output in Bavarian colours has been exceptional, scoring 50 goals and providing 58 assists in 114 games across all competitions.

The French forward is still 24, so his output is expected to get better with every passing season. Die Roten need to ensure Olise stays at the club for the next seven to eight seasons. They have to open contract talks with him this season and ensure that he signs a new contract sooner rather than later.

If Bayern don’t show decisiveness, Olise may run down his deal and end up joining a European rival at his peak.
