Bayern Munich have no intention of making further signings for the rest of the transfer window. The club chiefs are focusing on finding destinations for fringe players who don’t feature in their plans for next season.
While speaking to the media on Tuesday, Bayern’s director of sport, Max Eberl, name-dropped three players the club are looking to part ways with this summer. Sacha Boey, Joao Palhinha, and Bryan Zaragoza have reported for pre-season at Sabner Strasse, but Bayern have told them to look for a new club to get adequate playing time next season.
Along with these three players, Hiroki Ito is another player who can leave Bayern this summer. The Bundesliga champions are not actively pushing Ito out of the club, but he may have to look for a transfer to get regular game time.
While speaking to Bild, Eberl insisted that Ito would be allowed to leave Bayern if an adequate offer came in. Eberl admitted that Ito may find it difficult to get adequate playing time due to the presence of several players in central defense and left-back positions.

Ito has struggled with injuries since arriving from VfB Stuttgart in 2024. Bild has reported that Bayern will be open to selling Ito for €20 million. The Japanese defender reportedly prefers a move to La Liga, but Die Roten are yet to receive any offers for him.
The former Stuttgart defender has reported for the pre-season training this week. Bayern will not actively push him out of the club, as he can still play the role of a utility defender next season. Considering his injury record over the last two seasons, it is unrealistic for Bayern to expect to get bids of €20 million for him. If there are no concrete offers, Ito may have to evaluate options in January depending on how the first half of the season goes for him.
Bayern may have to sign a central defender next summer
As things stand, Bayern have quality options in central defense. They were initially looking to part ways with Kim Min-jae this summer, but eventually decided to stick with him. The South Korean defender did well under Vincent Kompany last season as the third-choice central defender.
With Jonathan Tah and Kim Min-jae reaching the back end of their peak, Bayern may have to look for younger central defenders next summer. One of these two senior defenders may end up leaving next summer. There is a good chance that signing a new center-back will be the top priority for the Bavarian club in 2027.
