Bayern Munich edged Eintracht Frankfurt in a tough fixture despite a last-minute scare when the away side mounted a mini comeback. Even though the win was nervy, Bayern Munich will be more concerned about the injury to Alphonso Davies.
The Canadian national team captain limped off the pitch and headed straight into the tunnel in the 50th minute. After a collision with Frankfurt's Mahmoud Dahoud, Davies was able to run off for around two minutes before signalling to the bench for a substitute.
After a medical consultation, the club announced that Alphonso Davies has suffered a muscle fibre tear. However, his body language after the game has brought a lot of positivity. He was able to walk out of the tunnel on his own without much discomfort.

Head coach Vincent Kompany remains hopeful that his star left-back can return to the pitch soon.
According to BILD, he is only expected to be sidelined for around three weeks.
Injury halts momentum built by Davies over the last few weeks
Davies returned to the pitch in late November last year after a devastating ACL injury. Only recently has he been able to pick up his form and find his rhythm. He had an assist against Hoffenheim last week and clocked in a brilliant first half against Frankfurt.
With Davies back in full form, Vincent Kompany possesses an absolute weapon on the left who can make dangerous underlapping runs and complement Luis Diaz. There are numerous occasions in the first half against Frankfurt when his run opens a clear dribbling lane for Diaz to exploit.
The 25-year-old attacking mindset is something that sets him a level above the other left-backs in Kompany's rotation. After Hiroki Ito came on to replace Davies, Bayern's offensive firepower diminished tremendously, especially on the left-hand side.
While the likes of Konrad Laimer and Josip Stanisic are great at making those movements, they do not possess Davies's high level of technicality to make key dribbles and crosses. Moreover, Ito is also extremely vulnerable against fast and technical wingers. He struggled against Leipzig's Yan Diomande, whose speed outclasses Ito by miles.
To make matters a bit worse, in the three weeks of Davies's absence, Bayern Munich will have one of the most challenging fixture runs of the year: the Der Klassiker against Dortmund, a physical Borussia Monchengladbach, the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 and a daunting trip to Leverkusen.
We wish Alphonso Davies a speedy recovery and to be 100% ready for the upcoming March.
