The Lows: Corner and set pieces

Bayern has one of the poorest records in Europe when it comes to defending set pieces. It has become a sore Achilles' heel that many teams have exploited this weakness in their game plan.

Arsenal, Mainz 05, and Union Berlin are just a few matches that saw Bayern struggle and concede unwanted goals from set pieces that turned the match momentum to the opponent's favour.

Bayern has no personnel to stop the towering players from the other teams, let alone a poor set-up that is bound to leak goals from corners and free kicks.

While this low point has not punished Bayern severely in the opening stages of the season, it will become a crucial tactical implication for other clubs to plan against the German giant when the Champions League knockout stage rolls around.
