The Highs: A change of the guard on the right flank

Michael Olise arrived in the 2024 season with great potential. But not only did he fulfil it, but he exceeded all expectations and became one of the scariest right-wingers in the world. In 55 appearances last season, Olise contributed to 43 goals. He claimed the Bundesliga's Young Player of the Season and was nominated for the Ballon d'Or. "The Chill Guy" kept up the momentum this year with 24 goal contributions in 25 games.

With Olise at the throne, Bayern also bid farewell to two established wingers in Leroy Sane and Kingsley Coman. No more inconsistent play and off-the-field drama, and instead a leader and world-class baller. Moreover, the departures freed up two hefty contracts in the salary book.
