Harry Kane
Arsenal are not an unfamiliar opposition for Harry Kane. The English forward has scored on numerous occasions against the North London side during his time at Tottenham Hotspur. However, the current Arsenal side is one of the best teams in Europe. It was fitting to see Kane further cement his position as the best striker in the world by delivering a masterclass against them on Wednesday.
Kane was brilliant against Arsenal when it comes to knitting the moves in the final third. He created two chances in the game, including a mind-blowing pass to find Alphonso Davies for the first goal. The weight of the pass was perfect, which ensured Davies got the ball at the right time in the box.
The former Spurs striker got himself on the scoresheet by calmly converting from the spot. Kane was holding the ball in the final third brilliantly. He was also showing great awareness to find the runs of his teams.
The English striker deservedly won a man of the match award for this performance. It wouldn’t be a big surprise if he gets the Ballon d’Or award on Monday, as performances like the one against Arsenal have been the norm for him over the last 12 months.
