Bayern Munich are early front-runners for getting the deal of the last summer transfer window after they signed Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur. The Bavarian club smashed their record fee to bring the English striker to Bavaria. Kane was brought by Bayern to fill the void left by Robert Lewandowski 12 months ago.

Die Roten and the Bavarian faithful knew that they were getting a world-class striker in Kane, but they wouldn’t have surely not predicted Kane to take the Bundesliga by storm. Without a shadow of a doubt, Kane is the best number nine in Europe this season. He has already scored 17 goals in 11 Bundesliga games this season.

Kane is on track to beat Robert Lewandowski’s record of most goals in one Bundesliga season if he continues to maintain this astonishing scoring rate. The former Tottenham Hotspur striker is a leading contender to win the Golden Boot in the Bundesliga and Europe.

While Kane continues to scale new personal records, he is more keen on achieving collective success in the next eight months. The English forward is yet to win a competitive trophy in his career, so he wants to set the record straight for club and country this season. While talking to Channel 5 (via iMiaSanMia) this week, Harry Kane revealed his targets for Bayern and England in the next eight months.

"“The Bundesliga and Champions League are what we are setting out to win with Bayern and the Euros with England we are setting out to win. The teams I am in have really good chances of winning those trophies.”"

Bayern are currently second in the Bundesliga table, two points behind league leaders Bayer Leverkusen. The defending champions are yet to lose a game this season. If Kane continues to score at the current rate, he will definitely make sure that Bayern win their 12th consecutive league title.

Die Roten have suffered disappointment in the Champions League over the past few seasons. They have struggled to reach the final of the competition since winning the trophy in Lisbon three years ago. Kane can propel them into the knockout stages since they have struggled for goals in these types of games over the past couple of seasons.

Kane has been consistent with his performances over the several campaigns for Spurs, but he didn’t get the chance to lift trophies due to the personnel around him. At Bayern, he definitely has the right setup to taste success.

England has done fairly well in the last three international competitions. Kane has been a key player for Gareth Southgate in the English setup. However, they don’t have a trophy to show for their efforts. England lost in the finals during the last Euros against Italy. Kane and his teammates will look to take that final step and bring the trophy home during the Euros next summer.
