Bayern Munich have endured mixed results when it comes to loan moves for young players from the academy in the past few seasons. The Bavarian club has often seen players getting next to no game time at loan clubs, while few players have been unfortunate with injuries. Bayern cannot give opportunities to every young player in the first team, so they should find ideal pathways for a good career at the senior level.

Arijon Ibrahimovic seems to be on track to get a good amount of game time in a competitive league this season. The 17-year-old forward has enjoyed a good start to the loan spell in Seria A with Frosinone. The Italian club is impressed by the youngster in a short space of time.

According to Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, Frosinone want to sign Ibrahimovic permanently in the summer. The Italian club can sign the forward for €3.5 million next summer since they agreed to a fixed option to buy with Die Roten while negotiating for a loan move.

Romano also reveals that Die Roten also have two buy-back clauses inserted in the deal with Frosinone. The Bavarian club can sign the German forward for €11 million and €15 million in 2024 and 2025, respectively. The teenager’s professional contract with Bayern comes to an end in 2025.

Arijon Ibrahimovic has made one appearance for Die Roten in the senior team, but he has been impressive at the youth level. He was initially getting opportunities from the bench with Frosinone. He eventually got his first start for Frosinone on matchday nine of Serie A.

In his first start for Frosinone, Arijon Ibrahimovic opened the scoring and helped the team to clinch a 2-1 win. The youngster scored a goal and created one against Empoli in the next gameweek. After scoring goals against Torino and Empoli in the last two gameweeks, Ibrahimovic is likely to get an extended run in the starting lineup.

If the young forward continues to play regularly for Frosinone, Bayern should allow him to make the permanent switch. The Bavarian club should try to renegotiate a buyback clause that can come into effect two to three seasons from now.

From the forward’s perspective, getting regular game time at this stage of his career is crucial. If he gets playing time at Frosinone, there is no point returning to Munich. A couple of years in Serie A will also help him to grow tactically and become a better player. A final decision on his future at Frosinone is likely to be made later this season, which will depend on his development and game time at the club.
