After a successful week capturing two wins on the road, Bayern Munich returns to the Allianz Arena to continue their quest for a 12th consecutive Bundesliga title. Die Roten returned from the International break last weekend and clinched all three points on the road in Mainz.
Kingsley Coman and Harry Kane gave Bayern the early 2-0 advantage inside the first 20 minutes before Mainz was able to pull one back shortly before the half. Leon Goretzka finished Mainz off near the hour mark as Die Roten took the 3-1 result back to Munich.
The Bavarian club continued their road travels with a very tough Champions League fixture in Instanbul vs Galatasaray. It was not a performance to remember as Galatasaray pushed the German Champions for the majority of the game, but the Bavarians were able to return from the RAMS Park with the three points needed to keep them top of Group A. Kinglsey Coman continued his scoring form and got Bayern Munich ahead in the 8th minute. Mauro Icardi would level the match with a penalty in the 30th before Harry Kane and Jamal Musiala finished off the Turkish champions in the last 20 minutes.
With Bayern Munich welcoming Bundesliga new kids Darmstadt to the Allianz Arena on Saturday, Thomas Tuchel will be looking to keep pace with league leaders Bayer Leverkusen. Coming off a week of two tough away fixtures with an already thin roster, Tuchel may be looking to rotate his squad a bit in preparation for another away fixture midweek in the DFB-Pokal.
