Midfielders

Joshua Kimmich – 6

The Kimmich/Laimer midfield just didn’t seem to work. Laimer provided the legs to the midfield, but he was too keen at points and that left Kimmich exposed. It wasn’t a vintage display from the captain, outside of the one ball that set Sane through. He’ll have much better days than the one he had in Copenhagen.

Konrad Laimer – 4

Laimer has been spending time at right-back recently and that showed tonight. He works harder than anyone else on the pitch, but that industrious nature doesn’t always come with the quality you’d want from a Bayern midfielder. Sometimes too eager to challenge, and when he misses which he did a lot tonight, he’s out of position and exposing the defense. Not a great game for the Austrian midfielder.

Jamal Musiala – 7

Scored an outstanding individual goal to level things up by weaving into the box and then curling an unstoppable shot into the bottom corner. You can tell he’s still working his way back, and if you’re a Bayern fan, you probably want him to be a little more selfish. He dribbled into the box on numerous occasions in the first half and tried to find the overlap when the shot was the smarter choice.

Leon Goretzka (Substitute) – 6

Wasn’t really on the field long enough to impact his score. Did have a free header that bounced past the post, and I’m sure he’d say he should have done better with that.
