Bayern Munich dropped points for the second time in the Bundesliga this season on Saturday. However, Bayern fans will be pleased with the way the team bounced back in the second half to salvage a point against RB Leipzig. Die Roten were two goals down in the first half at Red Bull Arena on Saturday. Tuchel’s men responded well to score two goals in the second half and share a point with RB Leipzig.

Despite dropping points on Saturday, it was largely a good performance from Die Roten. They conceded two goals against the run of play. Bayern largely dominated the game and deservedly got at least one point. Let us look at three players that helped Rekordmeister to mount a comeback in the second half.

Leroy Sane

Leroy Sane continued the good run of form against RB Leipzig. The German winger was Bayern’s best player at Red Bull Arena. He completed ten dribbles against Leipzig, which highlights the impetus he provided in the final third. Sane showed great composure to score the second goal, while his freekick led to the penalty early in the first half.

Along with showing great desire to bring Die Roten back in the game with attacking flair, Sane was also outstanding defensively on Saturday. He won 11 out of his 19 duels and also adequately helped the right-back when the team was on the receiving end. The German international has slowly and steadily established himself as one of the valuable players in Tuchel’s starting XI.

Jamal Musiala

Musiala has endured a slow start to the campaign largely due to a minor injury. In limited game time, the German attacking midfielder has shown glimpses of his talent. The 20-year-old shone against RB Leipzig on Saturday, which further highlights that he is the first-choice number ten at Bayern.

The young German attacking midfielder carried the ball from Die Roten’s box to the final third for the second goal, beating players with his dribbling and immaculate close control. After completing the run, he showed great awareness to slip the ball towards unmarked Sane. Musiala didn’t create a plethora of chances on Saturday, but the ones he created were big ones. With more playing time, the 20-year-old attacking midfielder will get better.

Harry Kane

Harry Kane delivered a quiet performance on Saturday by his lofty standards, but he still managed to make a huge impact on the result. The English forward started the game with a beautiful pass that set Musiala through for a big opportunity. Kane ended up creating three chances in the game.

The England international scored his eighth league goal of the Bundesliga campaign by calmly converting the penalty. He linked up well with other forwards and took up good positions in the box. It was far from his best performance in a Bavarian shirt, but he still made a telling contribution in the final third. (All Stats courtesy: Fotmob)
