The last few days of the transfer window are expected to be frantic for Bayern Munich. They will look to find the right balance in the squad that can compete on all fronts by managing the incomings and departures. Paul Wanner is expected to be on the list of departures at Die Roten before next Friday’s deadline day.

According to AZ, Wanner will complete a loan move away from Bayern before the end of the transfer window. The young midfielder has several options on the table, including offers from two first-division teams from abroad.

Wanner needs to play regularly at this stage of his career, so Die Roten needs to prioritize a club that can give him adequate game time and an ideal environment to continue his development. The Bavarian club considers Wanner as one of the top talents coming from the academy, which makes the loan move crucial for his development.

The 17-year-old midfielder made his Bayern debut in January, 2022 under Julian Nagelsmann. The youngster has made eight appearances for the senior team in the last 18 months. Wanner has been consistently training with the senior team, making it a great learning curve for the youngster.

After spending the entirety of last season training with the first team, Wanner now needs to get game time on the pitch. Wanner primarily operates in the attacking midfield role. With Thomas Muller and Jamal Musiala ahead of him in the first team, the youngster will not get any meaningful game time in the senior team this season.

Die Roten has extended his contract until 2027, which indicates that he is part of their long-term strategy. It will be intriguing to see if Bayern opts to keep him in the Bundesliga instead of loaning him to a club outside Germany.

In terms of other departures, Bayern are expected to lose Benjamin Pavard before the end of the transfer window. The French defender remains determined to experience a new adventure. The Bavarian club has reportedly agreed a fee with Inter Milan for Pavard, but they need to find a replacement before sanctioning the sale.

Ryan Gravenberch is another senior player who could seal a move away from Die Roten in the next few days. The Dutch midfielder was an unused substitute against Werder Bremen last weekend. Gravenberch wants to play regularly this season to be in contention for the Dutch squad in Euro 2024. With Liverpool and Manchester United showing concrete interest, Gravenberch may look to get regular playing time away from Munich.
