Bayern Munich: Leroy Sane enjoying life under Thomas Tuchel
Bayern Munich players returned to Bavaria on Thursday after a productive pre-season tour of Asia. The Bavarian club rounded off a good pre-season tour with a thrilling 4-3 win against Liverpool on Wednesday. Bayern head coach Thomas Tuchel has got significant time with players on the training ground after arriving at the club in April.
The German coach will be more accustomed to his players after the pre-season tour. Die Roten players have also gained familiarity with Tuchel’s tactical demands for next season. Tuchel will be expected to help Bayern to compete on all fronts after getting more time to instill his philosophy in the squad.
Leroy Sane has been one of the impressive players for Bayern under Thomas Tuchel. He ended the season strongly after an up-and-down campaign. The former Manchester City forward is expected to play a key role for Die Roten next season.
The German winger is currently enjoying life under Thomas Tuchel at Bayern. While talking to Bild this week, Sane hailed Tuchel’s meticulous work to get the team closer to success on the pitch. The German winger also insisted that Tuchel has shown faith in him, which has translated into a good end to the season.
"“I talk to him a lot. He gives me a very good feeling and I feel a lot of trust. I know myself that I could have scored a few more goals last season – there’s no doubt about that.”“Thomas is incredibly meticulous about his work and leaves as little as possible to chance. He took over at a difficult time when things were turbulent around us. I’m sure that we are on the right track with him and that he is exactly the right coach for FC Bayern.”"
Sane was involved in three goals and assists over the last five games of the season. The German forward ended the campaign with eight goals and seven assists in the Bundesliga. Stats across all competitions paints a good picture for Sane- 14 goals and ten assists in 44 appearances.
Bayern will hope Sane can come up with at least 20 goals and 20 assists across all competitions. The German forward has the talent to post such kind of output in the final third, but he has struggled for consistency over the last three seasons. Sane has two years left on his contract at Bayern, which makes the upcoming campaign even more pivotal.

Meanwhile, Bayern continues to work on transfers that can help Tuchel to achieve objectives for next season. The Bundesliga champions are in talks with Manchester City to sign Kyle Walker. The English full-back has verbally agreed a deal with Die Roten, but there has been no breakthrough in talks with Man City.
Die Roten also wants to add a world-class number nine to the squad. Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is the top target for Bayern. The Bavarian club had positive talks with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy on Monday, but both clubs remain far apart in their valuation of Kane.
