Bayern Munich continues to work on a deal to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur. The English forward is the top target for Bayern to strengthen the attack. Die Roten CEO Jan Christian Dressen and technical director Marco Neppe were expected to meet Spurs officials on Friday, but the meeting has been delayed.

According to The Guardian and Daily Telegraph, Spurs chief Daniel Levy has rescheduled talks with Bayern officials for Kane on Monday. The Bavarian club remains cautiously confident about signing Harry Kane this summer. The English forward has reportedly agreed personal terms with Die Roten after holding productive talks with Thomas Tuchel.

Meanwhile, Sport1 is reporting that Bayern is ready to offer €100 million for the English forward. The Bavarian club has set €100 million as the utmost limit for them to sign Kane from Spurs this summer. It is a significant fee for a player that will be a free agent next summer. Die Roten reportedly had two bids rejected for the 30-year-old striker.

Telegraph also reports that the willingness of Levy and Spurs to hold talks with Bayern does suggest that the North London club is now open to selling Kane. Spurs have also offered a lucrative contract to Kane, but he is in no rush to sign a new contract when the transfer window is open.

Bayern will hope that meeting with Levy on Monday brings a breakthrough in negotiations. The North London club has been insisting that Kane is not for sale, but it does look like their stance is softening now.

Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United are the main competitors for Bayern to sign Kane. However, English media has reported that Kane is not interested in moving to Paris. Meanwhile, Spurs and Levy do not want to sell Kane to a Premier League rival. These two conditions make Bayern an ideal club to deal with for Kane and Spurs.

The next couple of weeks will be crucial for Bayern’s pursuit of Kane. In an ideal scenario, Rekordmeister managed to conclude the deal in time for the start of the new season. Spurs may also want a quick resolution one way or the other since they need to find a replacement for Kane.
