There is likely to be a new addition to the attack at Bayern Munich by the end of the summer transfer window. The Bavarian club has been eagerly looking to sign number nine. They already had two bids rejected for Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane. Die Roten is expected to return with a third bid for the English striker.

The arrival of a new striker will impact the playing time of Mathys Tel at Bayern next season. According to Kicker and Sport1, Die Roten is ready to send Tel out on loan. Kicker has also reported that several Bundesliga clubs are interested in Tel, including Werder Bremen.

It does look like Tel has no plans to go out on loan for next season. After reports of a loan move emerged on Thursday, Tel’s agent told Sky Sports in Germany that the French forward is determined to stay in Bavaria and fight for game time under Thomas Tuchel. Tel believes that staying at Bayern will help him to get better as a player.

Mathys Tel has previously been linked with a loan move to Augsburg. Thomas Tuchel had also hinted towards a loan move during a press conference at the end of last season. The French forward reported for fitness tests at Sabner Strasse on Thursday. A decision over his future may take place later this window.

The Bavarian club paid a significant fee to sign Tel from Rennes last summer. The French forward was considered a signing for the future. He showed glimpses of his enormous talent during limited playing time last season. Tel became Die Roten’s youngest goalscorer in the Bundesliga.

Tel will be third choice striker behind Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and the new striker next season. He is also an option in wide areas, but Bayern already has four to five senior players in this position. The French forward will have to make an impact from the bench throughout the season.

The 18-year-old forward is expected to go on a pre-season tour with Bayern. The Bavarian club may look to convince him about a loan move later in the window if Thomas Tuchel makes it clear that he will struggle to give adequate playing time next season.

Meanwhile, Bayern has reportedly told Sadio Mane that he is not part of their plans for next season. The 31-year-old forward is attracting interest from Saudi Arabia. He wants to stay at Die Roten for next season, but the change of plans from the club may force him to look for a transfer.
