Adding a top-quality number nine to the squad is a priority for Bayern Munich this summer. The Bavarian club has made Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane their top target for this position. Die Roten already had two bids rejected for the English striker. They will now face competition from another top European club for his signature this summer.

According to RMC, Paris Saint-Germain is also interested in signing Harry Kane. The French club had sent officials to London to hold talks with Spurs and representatives of Kane to explore a transfer. Kane prefers a move to Die Roten, but PSG is ready to offer a better salary package and €100 million fee to Spurs. The French club will try to convince Kane to join them in the coming days.

Meanwhile, SportBild and Sky Sports in Germany are reporting that Harry Kane has rejected a move to PSG. The English striker only wants to join Bayern if he leaves Tottenham Hotspur this summer. It does look like Kane has already agreed personal terms with Rekordmeister.

Bayern had a second bid worth €80 million rejected for the English striker at the start of the week. The Bavarian club is expected to come up with a third improved bid for Kane. It has been reported in England that Spurs may end up selling Kane if Die Roten ends up paying €140 million.

Kane was back at Spurs today for pre-season training. He is expected to hold talks with Spurs and new head coach Ange Postecoglou regarding his future. Spurs want to keep him at the club, so they have reportedly offered him a new deal. The England international is in no rush to sign a new deal at Spurs.

Rejecting a move to PSG does suggest that Kane is firmly committed to joining Bayern. It remains to be seen if he is open to joining them on a free transfer next summer if a move doesn’t materialize this summer. Bayern faces the dilemma of playing the long waiting game for Kane or look at other striker options.

The third bid from Bayern is likely to reach €100 million. It will be a record transfer for Bayern if Spurs ends up accepting the offer. It will be difficult to see Bayern return with another bid if Spurs rejects the third offer. The Bavarian club reportedly has two temporary solutions for the number nine role if Spurs continue to reject offers for Kane, provided the English striker is open to joining them on a free transfer next summer.
