Bayern Munich is going to make big changes in defense this summer. Lucas Hernandez is close to completing a move to Paris Saint-Germain. The French international reportedly completed medicals at PSG last week. Bayern is closing on a deal for Napoli’s Kim Min-jae as the replacement for Hernandez.

Die Roten is also looking to add more quality in the right-back position since Benjamin Pavard is also leaving Bavaria this summer. Manchester City’s Kyle Walker is the top target for Rekordmeister in this position. The English champions want to keep Walker, so there is a lot of work to do on completing the deal.

Noussair Mazraoui is expected to play regularly next season after the departure of Pavard. The Moroccan defender had a disappointing debut season in Bavaria as he struggled for consistent playing time. The lack of playing time for Mazraoui for most of the last season has led to speculation over his future.

According to Sky Italia’s Gianluca di Marzio, Mazraoui’s agent had offered Juventus a chance to sign him this summer. The Italian club wants to sign a right-back this summer, but Mazraoui is not the first choice option for them right now.

Meanwhile, SportBild (via iMiaSanMia) is reporting that Die Roten has no plans to sell Noussair Mazraoui this summer. The Bavarian club considers Mazraoui as a crucial part of their plans for next season. There is a good chance that the Moroccan defender will be the first-choice right-back for Die Roten next season.

Mazraoui showed his quality offensively and defensively last season in glimpses. He will likely achieve consistency in performances for Die Roten if he gets an extended run in the team. It will take a crazy offer to change Bayern’s mind about Mazraoui this summer.

Bayern will hope to find a breakthrough in talks with Manchester City for Kyle Walker before the start of pre-season training. They are expected to trigger the release clause in Kim Min-jae’s contract at Napoli this week. The Bavarian club is also working on completing a sensational move for Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur. Die Roten is expected to lodge a second bid for the English striker after seeing a €70 million offer rejected a few days ago.

The Bundesliga champions have already completed deals to sign Konrad Laimer and Raphael Guerreiro on free transfers. Several senior players are expected to begin pre-season training next week before leaving for the tour of Asia.
