It has been a turbulent season for Bayern Munich. They have enjoyed some significant highs and went through equally crushing lows. The Bavarian club started the season with Julian Nagelsmann as the head coach but ended with Thomas Tuchel managing the first team.

The Bavarian club started the season well, but form dipped in the Bundesliga during September. Nagelsmann found a way to get the team back on track and end 2022 strongly at the top of the Bundesliga. Die Roten also cruised to the next rounds of the DFB Pokal and Champions League during the first half of the season.

The campaign’s second half didn’t go exactly well for Die Roten in the Bundesliga. They showed inconsistency in the league, which made sure that Borussia Dortmund got back into the title race. They booked a place in the quarter-finals of the two cup competitions, but Nagelsmann was sacked during the international break.

Thomas Tuchel arrived in Bavaria with the hope of winning three trophies. However, Die Roten continued to struggle and just managed to win the Bundesliga on the final day of the season under extraordinary circumstances. While the team struggled for consistency on the pitch, these three players excelled throughout the season for Bayern.
