The arrival of a new striker at Bayern Munich in the summer looks inevitable. Bayern is reportedly ready to pay a big fee to get a prolific goalscorer that can help them to compete on all fronts next season. The record Bundesliga champions lacked a cutting edge higher up the pitch across several games this season.

Die Roten has been linked with several strikers since the start of the season. They have a genuine interest in Harry Kane, but the English forward will be very expensive, and he may prefer staying in England. The Bavarian club will also face competition from the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea for Kane.

Since the start of April, Rekordmeister has been linked with a move for Napoli’s prolific goalscorer Victor Osimhen. The Nigerian striker has been one of the best strikers in Europe this season. He is also expected to cost in excess of €100 million since he has several years left on his contract.

Eintracht Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani is reportedly open to a dream move to Bayern. It does look like the French forward has admirers in Munich. According to Bild, Uli Hoeness wants Bayern to weigh up the signing of Kolo Muani since the forward is familiar to the Bundesliga, and he may not cost as much as other options for this role.

Kolo Muani arrived at Eintracht Frankfurt last summer from Nantes on a free transfer. He seamlessly adapted to the Bundesliga and became the focal point of Frankfurt’s attack. The French international has scored 20 goals for Frankfurt across all competitions.

Along with being a prolific goalscorer, Kolo Muani has also provided ten assists this season. He managed to score in both league games against Bayern this season. Kolo Muani’s consistent performances at the club level helped him to book a place in the French squad for World Cup 2022. The 24-year-old striker scored one goal in the tournament as France reached the final. (Stats courtesy: Whoscored)

Frankfurt is in a strong position to negotiate a record Bundesliga fee for Kolo Muani. The French forward’s current deal expires in 2027, so Frankfurt can also hope to retain him for next season. Die Roten will have to move early for Kolo Muani since several top clubs are looking for a number nine. The Bavarian club needs to avoid getting involved in a bidding war. Thomas Tuchel will soon meet Hasan Salihamidzic to finalise transfer plans for the summer, so Die Roten’s priority target in the attack will be revealed in the coming weeks.
