Bayern Munich has endured a turbulent week until now. The Bavarian club had a chastening evening in Manchester as Man City clinched a 3-0 win in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final. After the defeat against Man City, Bayern also had to endure a difficult situation among two players in the dressing room.
Reports emerged on Wednesday in Germany confirming a scuffle between Sadio Mane and Leroy Sane after the defeat against Man City. The Senegalese forward had reportedly punched Sane after a heated argument on the pitch late in the second half.
Mane and Sane were spotted in training at Sabner Strasse on Thursday. The former Liverpool forward was in good spirits, but Die Roten has taken the necessary steps to address the issue. Mane has been fined for the dressing room scuffle with Sane, and he will not be part of the squad for the game against Hoffenheim on Saturday.
It has been a difficult debut season for Sadio Mane at Bayern. After enjoying a good start to the season, Mane’s form dipped, and he also suffered a serious injury at the start of November. He was ruled out for three months, which meant he was not part of Senegal’s squad at World Cup 2022.
Ever since making his return from injury at the end of February, Sadio Mane has struggled to score goals consistently. He has one goal to his name since returning to action. The Senegalese forward also struggled to make an impact when he came on against Manchester City on Tuesday.
Nevertheless, there is no doubt about Mane’s quality. He has always bounced back from a tough patch, so he will definitely come good for Bayern. The Bavarian club also did really well to resolve the dressing room situation to avoid further speculation on the back of a poor result against Man City.

Thomas Tuchel will look to get a response from the team against Hoffenheim on Saturday. Die Roten completely lost the plot in the final 30 minutes of the game against Man City despite enjoying good spells in the first half and the first 15 minutes of the second half.
