Thomas Tuchel will have the entire squad available for training at Bayern Munich on Thursday. The German coach will have two days to work with the team before the big game against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday. Meanwhile, the club is doing everything possible to fulfill Tuchel’s wishes regarding his backroom staff.

The former Chelsea boss agreed to become the head coach of Bayern last week after the departure of Julian Nagelsmann. Tuchel has brought Arno Michels and Zsolt Low to Bayern as his assistant coaches. He is also looking to add Chelsea’s Anthony Barry to his backroom staff.

According to Sky Sports in Germany, Bayern is in advanced talks with Chelsea for Barry. The 36-year-old coach is eager to complete a move, but two clubs will have to reach an agreement over a compensation fee for his release.

As per Daily Telegraph, Bayern’s first offer has been well short of Chelsea’s demands. The English club is resigned to losing Barry to Die Roten, but they want to get the right compensation fee. Chelsea has told Barry to stay away from training for now as both clubs look to reach an agreement.

Barry is one of the highly-rated coaches in England. He specifically specializes in coaching set pieces. Tuchel was impressed by Barry’s work at Chelsea when the duo worked together. After Tuchel parted ways with Chelsea in September, Barry stayed at Stamford Bridge and worked with Graham Potter.

Barry is unlikely to be in the dugout for the game against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday. Tuchel will hope that Bayern agrees a fee with Chelsea before next week’s DFB Pokal quarter-finals against Freiburg. With big games coming thick and fast for Die Roten, Tuchel will need his entire coaching staff to extract good performances and positive results from the team.

Meanwhile, Tuchel is likely to stick with a back-three system against Dortmund. The German coach is not looking to make wholesale changes at Bayern in such a short time. Bayern has played well with a back three in the past few weeks, so it makes sense to stick with it for now.

Tuchel and his coaching staff will be in better positions to make more changes to the team’s style of play after a few games. For now, the sole aim is to get results, as Bayern is competing on all fronts. The Bavarian faithful is hoping for another treble as the team is well-placed in all competitions.
