It was a successful weekend for Bayern Munich midfielder Marcel Sabitzer. The Austrian midfielder is currently on loan at Manchester United. He managed to win his first trophy in England on Sunday as Manchester United clinched a 2-0 win against Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final.

Sabitzer came on in the second half and helped Man United to see out the victory. The 28-year-old midfielder was impressive during his cameo, as he won tackles and played some great passes that could have been converted into goals. Erik Ten Hag has quickly integrated him into the squad after arriving in Manchester on deadline day.

It does look like Marcel Sabitzer will be open to extending his stay in Manchester. According to Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano Sabitzer is open to joining Manchester United permanently in the summer transfer window. The former RB Leipzig midfielder is happy with the start to life at United, but a final decision is likely to come in May.

Manchester United moved swiftly to sign Marcel Sabitzer on a dry loan after Christian Eriksen was ruled out for the majority of the season. The Austrian midfielder also quickly agreed to join the Red Devils since he was struggling to get playing time at Bayern during the first three games in Ruckrunde.

Sabitzer has made five appearances for Man United until now. With the Red Devils competing in three competitions, he is likely to get a significant amount of playing time. As per his agent, Sabitzer is looking close to his best at United, but a final decision on his future in Bavaria will be taken at the end of the season.

Bayern will be open to parting ways with Marcel Sabitzer in the summer. The record Bundesliga champions have already agreed a deal for Konrad Laimer, so Sabitzer’s chances of adequate playing time in Munich will further reduce next season. It is the right time for him to look for a new move. Manchester United is on the rise under Ten Hag, so it will be a perfect move for the Austrian midfielder.

A good loan spell at Manchester United will make sure that Die Roten recoups the entire fee that they paid Leipzig in 2021 for Sabitzer. Even if Man United decides against signing him permanently, other Premier League clubs will also show interest in the Austrian midfielder. Since Sabitzer is intense on and off the ball, it is no surprise that he is open to extending his stay at United. Premier League suits him well, so a move to England will be the solution for the former RB Leipzig midfielder.
