The last few seasons have seen Bayern Munich successfully integrating young players into the first team. The key players in the current squad are young players that have only two to three seasons in senior football. After a barren spell in terms of getting young players from the academy into the first team, Die Roten has done a great job in the past few seasons.

The Bavarian club is expected to keep adding young players to the senior squad in the near future. According to Sport1, Die Roten is planning to integrate 17-year-old defender Tarek Buchannan into the first team from the summer. The club chiefs rate Buchannan highly, so they want him to start training with the first team at such an early age.

Buchannan may not play any senior games next season, but training with the first team will speed up his development. Julian Nagelsmann has a good track of developing young players, so involving Buchannan in the senior team training will be a brilliant move for the player.

Jamal Musiala also initially started training with the senior team for a period before getting playing time. The 19-year-old attacking midfielder is now the heartbeat of the team in the final third. Alphonso Davies also became a crucial member of the first team at a very young age.

Nagelsmann has kept Paul Wanner in the first team this season after he got his debut at the start of 2022. The young attacking midfielder is also expected to play a big role for the first team in the future. Josip Stanisic has also established himself as a first-team player by impressing in the opportunities he got with the first team.

Buchannan has several positive examples in the first team that went through a similar path to become a senior player. If Benjamin Pavard ends up leaving the club in the summer, the youngster may become the fourth-choice center-back in the squad if there is no transfer activity in this position during the transfer window.

Die Roten will also look to loan out a few young players from the reserves team in the summer. All of them cannot be integrated into the first team straight away, so arranging adequate loan moves is the right approach to give them the taste of first-team action. Bayern will be looking to improve their loan record in the summer after being hit-and-miss with this process in the last few years.
