Leroy Sane (August 21, 2022)- Bayern Munich vs. VfL Bochum

The next goal in this list might be the greatest piece of team play Bayern has had all year. A goal in which the ball found the foot of four different Bayern players in the attacking third before it was finally hammered into the back of the net by Leroy Sane.

Starting his run from left midfield, Sane darted forward, laying the ball to his teammates two times while making a darting run in the final third. Once he found himself in the box, a final back-and-forth pass was played to Kingsley Coman, leaving Sane at a very awkward angle. Hitting the ball with pace, he still managed to place the shot perfectly into the top right corner.

This goal in Bayern’s third game of the season set the pace for the rest of the game. Sane scored in just the fourth minute, another extremely quick goal– which set the pace for six other goals to be scored after that. This goal is a perfect representation of how purely dominant Bayern were at the beginning of this season. Three games, three wins, and 15 goals. It was team play like this that led to that dominance, showing collective and individual brilliance.\
