The last few years have seen Bayern Munich being aggressive in the transfer market when it comes to signing players for the reserves team. This approach benefited them while signing Alphonso Davies and Jamal Musiala. Both players have become a mainstay in the first team in the past couple of years.

Die Roten will continue to recruit the best prospects from different parts of the world to make sure that they have young talent ready to replace senior players in the team. In terms of tracking talent in the Scottish League, Bayern is reportedly monitoring the situation of a young midfielder at Celtic.

According to TMW in Italy, Bayern scouts have been closely watching Celtic midfielder Rocco Vata. Along with Die Roten, AC Milan, AS Roma, Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid, and Juventus are also following the development of the youngster at Celtic. It remains to be seen if any one of these clubs will make a move to sign him in the upcoming winter transfer window.

The 17-year-old attacking midfielder can also operate as a wide forward. He recently made his debut for Celtic’s senior team on Wednesday against Hibernian FC in the Scottish league. Vata has largely played for Celtic’s reserves team this season. His impressive performances at the junior level earned him a place in the first team.

Vata will be involved with the reserves team if Bayern decides to make a move for him in the winter/summer window. As per Transfermarkt, his current deal at Celtic is set to expire at the end of the 2023/24 campaign. This is not the first time Bayern is following a top talent from Celtic. They had completed a deal to sign young defender Liam Morrison in 2019. He is currently part of the reserves team.

Meanwhile, Julian Nagelsmann is expected to name a few young players in the squad for the winter camp in Doha. Paul Wanner will continue to train with the first team. He could reportedly go out on loan next summer to get consistent playing time at the senior level.

Arijon Ibrahimovic is also expected to be part of the travelling team. The 17-year-old midfielder recently signed a new deal with Bayern. As per Sport1, he will be permanently training with the first team. Sport1 also reports that Eyup Aydin will also be part of the senior team in Doha. Die Roten will make a decision on the young midfielder’s future since his contract expires in the summer.
