Speedy recovery for injured players

The last two months of 2022 have been brutal for Bayern Munich when it comes to injuries. Sadio Mane suffered a serious injury in the penultimate game before the World Cup. The Senegal international missed the World Cup 2022 as he underwent surgery on his fibula. Mane is expected to be out until the start of March, raising doubts over his participation in the Champions League round of 16 clash against Paris Saint-Germain.

Lucas Hernandez ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament in France’s first group game against Australia in World Cup 2022. The French defender has been ruled out for the rest of the season as he underwent surgery on his knee in late November.

The final injury casualty for Bayern was Manuel Neuer. The German international broke his leg in a freak accident on a ski trip during the winter break. He has been ruled out for the rest of the season as Bayern look to fill the void left by him in the winter transfer window.

The Bavarian faithful would like to see all three players recover well and see them back on the pitch sooner rather than later. Moreover, Bayern fans will hope that there are no more serious injuries to players during the second half of the season as they compete on all fronts. Considering the gruesome schedule in the next five months, Julian Nagelsmann will need every player in the squad fit during this run.
