The next six weeks are going to be interesting for football fans as World Cup 2022 takes place in Qatar. It is an odd time for World Cup since it usually takes place in the summer. Bayern Munich will have a very big contingent at the World Cup, as 16 players from the first team will play in the competition.

The German squad has the greatest number of Bayern players. Manuel Neuer will be leading the German team. Thomas Muller, Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, Jamal Musiala, Serge Gnabry, and Leroy Sane are other Bayern players in the German squad. The World Cup 2022 will also mark former Bayern manager Hansi Flick’s first big tournament as coach of Germany.

Apart from Germany, France has four Die Roten players in the squad- Lucas Hernandez, Benjamin Pavard, Kingsley Coman, and Dayot Upamecano. Alphonso Davies will play his first World Cup with Canada, while Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting will lead the forward line of Cameroon. The other Bayern players at the World Cup are Matthijs de Ligt (Netherlands), Noussair Mazraoui (Morocco), and Josip Stanisic (Croatia). Unfortunately, Sadio Mane (Senegal) will miss the tournament due to an injury.

Julian Nagelsmann will be keenly following the progress of Bayern players during the tournament. Some of the players are going into the World Cup after enjoying a good run of form with Die Roten in the past couple of months. Here are the three Bayern players that can go on to light up the biggest showpiece event in football.
