Bayern Munich has managed to churn out very good results in the past few weeks despite the absence of some key players. The Bavarian club has been playing without Manuel Neuer since the draw against Borussia Dortmund, but Sven Ulreich has stepped in to do a good job in the goal for Bayern.
Leroy Sane has also missed the last four games due to a muscle injury he suffered in the 5-0 win against Hoffenheim. The German winger was expected to return in three weeks, but it does look like he is recovering faster than initial expectations.
According to Sport1, Sane will be returning to first-team training on Sunday. The German winger could be involved in the game against Inter Milan on Tuesday, but Die Roten will make a late call on his availability for this game.
Bayern will not take any risks with Leroy Sane since World Cup is around the corner. The German forward is expected to play a big role for Germany at the showpiece event in Qatar. He will be eager to return to the pitch but not going to force it unless there is a complete green signal from the medical team.
Sane’s return is a big boost for Bayern since he has been in fine form this season. The German winger has already scored ten goals across all competitions. Leroy Sane has been particularly impressive in the Champions League, scoring four goals in four games. His return will further help Bayern to close out the next three weeks before the World Cup by winning all their games.
Nagelsmann currently has a welcome selection headache in the attack. In the absence of Sane, Serge Gnabry and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting have stepped up and contributed with goals and assists. Jamal Musiala and Kingsley Coman are in fine form, while Thomas Muller continues to deliver good performances.

Meanwhile, Manuel Neuer remains confident about reaching full fitness before the World Cup. Bayern is yet to give a clear date on his return as he continues to recover from a shoulder problem. He will not be involved in the game against Inter Milan on Tuesday. In an ideal scenario, Neuer will be hoping to play a couple of games for Bayern before the World Cup.
Lucas Hernandez is also expected to start training on Monday. The game against Inter Milan may come too soon for the French defender, but he is expected to play few games before going to the World Cup. Bouna Sarr is the only long-term absentee in the current squad. The Senegalese defender is expected to return in training at the start of 2023.
