The penultimate set of group games in the Champions League is set to take place this week. Bayern Munich has enjoyed a very productive run in the Champions League this season as they have booked a place in the round of 16 after winning their first four group games.

The Bavarian club will be looking to solidify their place at the top of Group C when they travel to Camp Nou on Wednesday. It is a must-win game for the Spanish club to have a slim chance of qualifying for the next round. Die Roten can inflict misery on Barcelona in the group stages for the second consecutive season and knock them out of Europe’s elite competition.

Bayern has been ruthless against Barcelona whenever they have met in the Champions League. Earlier this season, Barcelona dominated Bayern in the first half at Allianz Arena. However, Die Roten responded strongly in the second half and scored two quick goals to put the game past Barcelona.

Despite sealing the qualification for the round of 16, Rekordmeister will be eager to extend their good run of form on Wednesday. While talking to Sky Sports in Germany, Bayern midfielder Leon Goretzka insisted that the team is excited about Wednesday’s game at Camp Nou and eager to get all three points.

"“When we play against FC Barcelona at the Camp Nou, be it a friendly game or a Champions League final, it doesn’t matter. It’s going to be a great game that we’re looking forward to. And we will also do everything to win it.”"

Goretzka also had a cheeky dig at Robert Lewandowski since Barcelona is close to getting dumped out of the Champions League. The Polish striker left Bavaria in the summer to join Barcelona. Lewandowski never played in Europa League during his eight seasons with Die Roten.

Nagelsmann will be also eager to see how his team fares in a tough away ground. Barcelona has been unbeaten at Camp Nou this season across all competitions. Getting a victory against such a formidable side will be a significant step in the right direction for Bayern.

Barcelona will come out at Camp Nou with all guns blazing against Die Roten on Wednesday since they desperately need three points. The Bavarian defense will be under the pump since Barcelona forwards, including Lewandowski, have been in fine form this season. They created several chances at Allianz Arena but couldn’t add the finishing touch. A much-improved display from Barcelona’s forwards is expected on Wednesday.
