There has been significant improvement in the performances of Bayern Munich since the last international break. Die Roten has managed to beat teams comfortably and build momentum with a good run of results. The most recent impressive performance from Bayern came against Hoffenheim on matchday 11 of the Bundesliga.

Die Roten managed to dominate the game away at Hoffenheim on Saturday and clinch a comfortable 2-0 victory. Julian Nagelsmann will be pleased with the overall performance of the team, but we will look at the key takeaways from the win in Hoffenheim.

Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting repaying Nagelsman’s faith

Several players have stepped up for Bayern Munich in the final third this season. The latest player to come with crucial goals and assists is Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting. The former PSG forward was one of the best players on the pitch against Hoffenheim. He scored the important second goal in the first half to give Bayern a much-needed cushion going into the half-time break.

Choupo-Moting has scored four goals in the last three games across all competitions. He also managed to provide an assist against Freiburg on matchday 10. The Cameroon international is not a first-choice striker for Die Roten, but he will have a significant role to play as the season progresses. Choupo-Moting has repaid Nagelsmann’s faith until now, and long may it continue.

Matthijs de Ligt has firmly settled at Bayern Munich

The transition from Turin to Munich has not been straightforward for Matthijs de Ligt since the big money transfer in the summer. However, the Dutch defender is finally showing consistency in his performances. De Ligt was the best defender for Bayern against Hoffenheim on Saturday.

De Ligt showed great composure on and off the ball against Hoffenheim. He won the majority of the duels and helped the team to keep a second consecutive clean sheet in the Bundesliga. The Dutch international needed some time to get used to the pace of the German league. He excelled with Dayot Upamecano in central defense when Lucas Hernandez was sidelined due to an adductor injury. Nagelsmann will be pleased with the form of all his three center-backs in the team.

Serge Gnabry getting back in form

At the end of September, one report in Germany suggested that Bayern hierarchy was concerned with the form of Serge Gnabry. The German forward has endured a very inconsistent start to the season. With Die Roten’s form plummeting in September, criticism form of Gnabry was intense.

The German winger has managed to answer his critics with good performances since the start of October. He managed to deliver another solid display against Hoffenheim, providing the assist for Die Roten’s second goal. In the last five games for Bayern, Gnabry has managed to contribute with four goals and assists. The Bavarian faithful will be hoping to see similar consistency from Gnabry over a bigger sample size this season.
