The collective performances from Bayern Munich in the last two games have been near-perfect. They managed to dominate the game from the word go against Bayer Leverkusen and Viktoria Plzen. Moreover, Die Roten also showed ruthless efficiency in the final third to register healthy score-lines.

Julian Nagelsmann will be pleased with performances across both games. The German coach will hope to use these two games as the springboard to kickstart the season after a poor September in the Bundesliga. He will be particularly satisfied with Tuesday’s result and performance since he rotated the starting XI.

October will be crucial for Bayern since games will come thick and fast. Nagelsmann needs to get the best out of an entire squad and rotate accordingly to avoid injuries and poor results. The performances of squad players on Tuesday will encourage Nagelsmann to rotate the team frequently.

Noussair Mazraoui was one of the players that shone against Plzen on Tuesday. The Moroccan full-back was very proactive at both ends of the pitch at Allianz Arena, giving Nagelsmann a selection headache for the upcoming Der Klassiker. While talking to DAZN (via iMiaSanMia), Nagelsmann had special praise for Mazraoui. The German coach was pleased with the way Mazraoui has developed tactically in the past couple of months.

"“Nous is doing better and better. I’m very happy with his development. It took him a bit of time at first, but he’s a lot more confident now.”"

Mazraoui had a rough start to the season as he was struggling to get consistent game time. Moreover, Benjamin Pavard also enjoyed a very strong start to the season in the right-back position. The game against FC Barcelona in the Champions League was the turning point for Noussair Mazraoui. He came off the bench for the injured Pavard in the first half and delivered a very good performance in Die Roten’s 2-0 win against the Spanish side.

Noussair Mazraoui will hope to get more playing time as the season progresses. The Moroccan provides a different dimension to Bayern’s play in the final third since he is a much more attacking right-back than Pavard. Mazraoui and Pavard can end up playing together as they did in the second half on Tuesday if Nagelsmann uses the French defender in central defense.

Apart from Mazraoui, Nagelsmann also had special praise for Alphonso Davies. While talking to Sky Sports Austria, the German coach insisted that Davies performed well in a slightly tweaked left-back position. Davies is instructed to come inside since Sadio Mane is holding the width on the left flank. Nagelsmann is pleased with the flexibility shown by the Canadian full-back.
