The perfect start to the new Bundesliga campaign continued for Bayern Munich on Sunday. Julian Nagelsmann’s men made it three wins in a row across all competitions by clinching a comfortable victory against Wolfsburg on matchday two of the Bundesliga.

It was not an emphatic win like the one against Eintracht Frankfurt ten days ago. Die Roten had scored six goals against Frankfurt, but two goals against Wolfsburg were enough to claim all three points. However, it was a solid performance across all areas of the pitch to make sure that it was a comfortable victory for Die Roten.

The win against Wolfsburg took Bayern back to the top of the points table. The early signs are very promising for Die Roten and Julian Nagelsmann as things are clicking in the attack despite the departure of Robert Lewandowski. The counter-pressing has also improved for Die Roten compared to the second half of last season.

The biggest positive for Rekordmeister from this victory was the clean sheet. They have struggled defensively in 2022, so they need to tighten things at the back this season to compete in all competitions. Apart from getting the clean sheet on Sunday, let us look at other takeaways from the win against Wolfsburg.
