The squad planning at Bayern Munich has been immaculate this summer. The Bavarian club has addressed key areas of the squad and swiftly completed deals to sign five players. Moreover, Die Roten has managed to get a good fee for players that left Bavaria in the last two months.

Bayern also has an eye on the deals that could take place in the future. The Bavarian club is reportedly following one of the most devastating forward in the Bundesliga with a view of making a move in the future.

According to Sport1, Hasan Salihamidzic and Julian Nagelsmann admire RB Leipzig’s Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig. The French forward is expected to leave Leipzig next summer to take the next step in his career.

Nkunku had already attracted a lot of interest from top clubs in Europe this summer, but he decided to stay at Leipzig for one more season. He managed to win the Bundesliga player of the season award after scoring 20 goals in the league. The French forward can excel in wide areas and also play as a center-forward.

The report Sport1 also confirms that Bayern’s move for Nkunku will materialise if one of their forwards ends up leaving Bavaria. As things stand, most forwards at Bayern are settled, but things can quickly change in 12 months.

The most obvious candidate that could make way for Nkunku is Leroy Sane. The German winger has blown hot and cold in his two seasons at Bavaria. Another underwhelming campaign may put Sane’s future at Die Roten in doubt. He had a good Hinrunde last season, but his performances and output significantly dipped in the second half of the season.

The former Schalke winger was recently linked with a move to Manchester United. However, Bayern quickly dismissed these reports and insisted that Sane was not going anywhere this summer. The German winger is also not agitating for a move away from Bavaria this summer.

Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman have recently signed new long-term deals with Bayern. They have no plans to leave Bavaria anytime soon. Thomas Muller also recently signed a new deal, while Jamal Musiala will be a big part of the club’s long-term plans. If there are no departures, it will be difficult to see Nkunku moving to Bayern next summer unless there is a long-term injury to one of the Bavarian forwards. One thing is clear, Bayern and Nagelsmann rate Nkunku highly.
