First glimpse of Mathys Tel for Bayern Munich

The Supercup game against RB Leipzig saw competitive debuts for Sadio Mane, Ryan Gravenberch, Mathijs de Ligt, and Noussair Mazraoui. The latest new arrival, Mathys Tel, was with the squad and got the taste of the first title win with Bayern. However, the French forward didn’t make the matchday squad since he was not registered.

Bayern has confirmed that Tel will be available for the game against Frankfurt. The French forward is not going to get a start on Friday, but he will be travelling with the squad. He will be available to come off the bench in the second half.

There has been significant excitement around the signing of Tel. Bayern has decided against signing a superstar number nine after the departure of Robert Lewandowski. The German Champions believe that Tel is the next big forward to come from France. Die Roten ended up paying a significant fee for a 17-year-old forward that will have a crucial role to play in replacing Lewandowski’s goals for the first team.

Nagelsmann has also spoken glowingly about the French striker. It will be really interesting to see how the season pans out for Tel. The upcoming game against Frankfurt will provide the first glimpse of his talent. A goal on matchday one will be the perfect way to start for the French forward.
