After a break of two months, the Bundesliga returns this weekend. Bayern Munich will kick off the new season with a trip to Eintracht Frankfurt on Friday. The Bavarian club will be looking to begin their title defense in the best possible manner with a convincing display against Frankfurt.

Julian Nagelsmann’s side started the season on a perfect note last weekend with a 5-3 win against RB Leipzig in the DFL Supercup. It was far from a perfect performance, but starting the campaign with a trophy will help in setting the right tone for the season.

Frankfurt has enjoyed a few incredible results at home against Die Roten, including the 5-1 win in Niko Kovac’s last season in Bavaria. With their supporters behind them, Eintracht Frankfurt will provide a stern test to the defending Bundesliga Champions. Moreover, the morale in the Frankfurt side will be sky high after ending the last season by winning the Europa League.

Nagelsmann got a lot of time in the training this summer as the entire squad was available for the majority of the pre-season. The German coach will be looking for gradual improvement in performances this month as players get into the rhythm. Here are three things which we are looking forward to in the first Bundesliga game against Frankfurt on Friday.
