Bayern Munich sign top scout from Borussia Dortmund
The latest arrival in the first team at Bayern Munich has been made possible by the work of the scouting department. Mathys Tel is not a big name in the game right now, but Bayern expects him to become one of the top strikers in the future. Die Roten ended up paying a significant fee for the teenager.
The scouting department deserves credit for finding talent like Tel. This transfer further strengthens the notion that Bayern should have the best scouts available in the game. The German Champions suffered a big blow this summer when Laurent Busser left the club to join Borussia Dortmund. However, they have found a sound replacement for him in no time.
Bayern confirmed on Wednesday that Markus Pilawa would be joining the club from Dortmund. Pilawa will be the new chief scout for Rekordmeister. He will be a fine addition to Die Roten’s scouting network since he helped Dortmund in finding numerous top talents in the last few seasons.
Considering the growing trend of inflated transfer fees, Bayern needs to scout even better than before to compete with the English and state-backed clubs. The German Champions do not have an unlimited budget every summer, so it is crucial to have the best scouting department to unearth gems across the globe. Pilawa will help Rekordmeister to strengthen the scouting department.
Bayern signs full-back prospect from Barcelona
Along with improving the senior team, Bayern is also focussing on refreshing the squads at the youth level. The most recent recruit for Die Roten is Adam Aznou. The 16-year-old full-back arrives from Barcelona to join the U-19 team at Bayern. Aznou is reportedly tipped to eventually become a part of the first team in future.
Earlier this week, Die Roten also extended the contract of Sarpreet Singh until 2024. The young midfielder has gone out on loan to Jahn Regensburg. Singh was previously set to join Werder Bremen, but an injury scuppered the move. After completing the recovery from the injury, Singh will be beginning the season with Jahn Regensburg.
Chris Richards completed a move to Crystal Palace on Wednesday. The US international has signed a long-term deal with the Premier League club. Bayern has reportedly inserted a buy-back clause in this deal.

The German Champions could part ways with Joshua Zirkzee later this window. The Dutch forward shone for the reserves team before having a good breakthrough season with the senior team in 2019/20. Zirkzee is eager to get regular playing time next season after last year’s productive loan spell at Anderlecht. Tel’s arrival will significantly reduce Zirkzee’s chances of regular playing time at Die Roten, so a departure will serve well for all parties.
